Biography
Dr. Joshua Pollack was born and raised in Weston, FL. He began his academic journey at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Cell Science in 2015. His dedication to dentistry led him to New York University College of Dentistry to receive his dental training. Learning to practice dentistry in New York City provided Dr. Pollack with the invaluable opportunity to treat a diverse patient population, encountering a wide array of dental issues. This experience was instrumental in broadening his understanding of all dental specialties, enriching his expertise to incorporate comprehensive treatment options into his practice to best serve his patients’ needs.
Throughout his early experiences shadowing other dentists and treating patients, Dr. Pollack learned to appreciate the distinctive nature of dentistry, which marries a deep understanding of each patient’s individual story with the practitioner’s scientific knowledge and artistic creativity, allowing for transformative changes to a patient’s health, function, and aesthetics, sometimes within only 1-2 appointments.
Following graduating in 2019, Dr. Pollack moved to Charlotte, NC, and began his career in Indian Land, SC, as an associate in a general dentistry practice. Dr. Pollack is married to his high school sweetheart, Ava, a mental health counselor focusing on general counseling and eating disorder treatment. In 2022, they welcomed their son, Miles, into the world. They also have a 9-year-old dog named Stella, a mini-American Eskimo.

A strong proponent of preventative dentistry, Dr. Pollack believes in keeping dental treatments as minimally invasive as possible. Understanding the anxieties many face when visiting the dentist, he prioritizes the comfort of his patients above all. Dr. Pollack is particularly committed to alleviating dental pain swiftly, ensuring that patients are offered same-day appointments to address their discomfort immediately, and developing a tailored plan to preserve oral health. His practice philosophy emphasizes not just the treatment of teeth but also the care of individuals and their specific needs.
